Interested in joining ESAA?
Engineering Student Alumni Ambassadors is a student-run, University registered organization whose goal is to promote and foster positive student-alumni relations. By hosting alumni speaker events, ESAA provides the opportunity for engineering students* to expand their network, networking abilities, and knowledge of a variety of industries. In return, ESAA provides the opportunity for alumni to meet the most promising engineers the College has to offer. Therefore, as a member, you will be a key representative of the Grainger College of Engineering.
ESAA is searching for dedicated, outgoing individuals who are able to communicate ideas well. It is extremely important for our organization that potential members have the desire to be actively involved in the club and on campus. As an ambassador, you will be required to attend bi-weekly General Meetings, Committee Meetings, and participate in Committee Events (including Alumni Speaker Events, Fundraisers, and Socials). Members have the opportunity to sign up for one of four engaging committees which include Marketing, Internal, Advancement, and Alumni Outreach. Based on your placement, your involvement in organization events will shift between being an attendee, participant, and planner. The work of these committees is pivotal in the ability of ESAA to function as tight-nit community for personal and professional development.
For Spring 2023, ESAA will hold two Information Sessions. These meetings provide an opportunity for prospective members to meet the current Board of Directors and learn more about the organization. Following the Information Sessions, prospective members will have the ability to sign up for an interview. These interviews will be ~15 minutes and conducted by two current Board Members. The main purpose of this process is to gauge the interviewee's level interest and visualize how they might fit within the organization.
*Students in the Grainger College of Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Agricultural and Biological Engineering, and CS+
